Generational sins

The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’
 Numbers 14:18

“You’re just like your mother.”  “You’re just like your father.”  We inherit more than just hair color, traits and voice tone. we sometimes learn the sins, like anger, murder, jealousy, greed, lying, lust and well, you get the idea.  We look at the world through their eyes, not understanding that their thinking and their view may be skewed.  We go into therapy, we try to break the limits our ancestors or parents put on us, we break away from the lies. We accept Jesus, read the bible, we try to let our passion over-rule our fears. Even when the body is breaking a sweat and the stomach is turning.

I confess

Permission to speak freely

with that said, those sins of the fathers, well, T rmup’s grandfather or father earned his wealth running brothels, then left the US and was extradited, and then invested the money in real estate and was a slumlord.  Did he pick up the tricks of the trade?   Also, those Russian ties, could be tied to brothels, tax evasion, and conflicts of interest. I think we all know it, we just need proof.

Get over the root of rejection and learn to love yourself.
