thank you veterans for your service.
We are here for each other. That is our purpose, to use the talents, gifts, skills, education and resources we have to serve one another. Now, if you’re like me, you are looking out for yourself, which is sane and good, because we have to survey our environment for dangers and make sure we are safe, because, as we have learned, there are unsafe people and conditions in our midst. And if you are like me, you’ve been shot and carry around wounds and need to heal from those wounds so you don’t walk around with heavy armour of hate and anger and isolation. But you need to step away to heal. Cool. as I sad in a previous post: We all shot.
But it is incumbent upon me to take responsibility for my life and moods and actions and do something, even if it’s getting a harp cart to play the harp for others, or working and being a teacher. Oh, by the way, I passed the teacher’s test and now have to apply for the certificate. this will enable me to teach in Florida. I still have to get that mess cleared up with OC, but am taking action toward that. Also, I contact someone about doing a website for me. I tried to do one myself but it turned into crap, so I am paying someone to do it for me. All I have to do now is get a beautiful photograph of myself in front of the harp. I contacted the guy yesterday about purchasing the harp cart so I could play for my volunteer gig.
finally, I am at the library and am looking through a book called Tribe by Sebastian Junger. It’s about belonging, about finding your tribe.
Find your place and fulfill it up. and really, stop caring what others think-they aren’t God. they don’t know what is best for you.
18Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
19 People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. 20 Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” 22 Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!”
